Mickey Was Not Such A Good Surprise

So we decided to surprise the girls with a trip to Disneyland. We were able to keep the "secret" quite well by telling a little fib that we were going to Newport Beach. Well Sydney was so looking forward to the beach that when we told her we were actually going to Disneyland she burst out in tears...I bet that's a first. Anyways, she got over it quick once she saw Disneyland but that wasn't enough trauma, we then decided to take her on Pirates of the Carribean as her first ride, another bad move on our part as that scared the daylights out of her. So the remainder of the trip we had to convince her that Alice In Wonderland did not have pirates in it and the snails in the Electrical Light Parade were not coming to get her. Note to self for next time, DO NOT TAKE THE LITTLE ONE ON A SCARY RIDE TO START THE DISNEY EXPERIENCE.

We did have a blast and it was hot but in the end I am so happy we planned this last minute trip, it was a lot of fun to get away.
