Post Christmas Steal

This year we went and cut down a Christmas tree. I am always surprised at how expensive fresh trees are. I have wanted a huge Christmas tree for the past 2 years however, I have not been willing to spend $200 plus to get that huge tree so while Vince and I were out doing a little Christmas shopping this year we spotted a 12 foot artifical tree that we really liked. This tree was $299.99 but we figured after the holidays it would probably go on sale, well it did, WOOOO WHOOOOO a whole 75% off...So we bought the tree for $60.00 (nearly the same price we paid for our fresh tree that they claimed was 6.5 feet tall however it looked more like 5 feet when we got home). Now I only have to wait 11.5 months to put the new tree up. We did of course have to put it up when we got it home to make sure all the parts were there and the lights all worked since it will be nearly a year before we officially break it out of it's box. I snapped a few photo's of our new tree. It doesn't look perfect in the pics because we didn't "fluff" the branches out but you can get an idea of just how big it is when you see Vince on the ladder and the kids standing next to it. I think it's going to be quite beautiful when it's all decorated and I love the steal we got on it. Here's to post christmas sales!!! Yippee!!

I love 12 foot trees! You are soooo lucky. Although we have the ceilings for one in our family room, there is never going to be a good place to put one, so we will have to stick with our 7 1/2 footer :o( LOVE the discount that you got, just love it.
